Description
Associate's Degree in a technical discipline such as Engineering Technology, Computer Science or equivalent is required; technical training in network infrastructure equipment preferred, adequate experience and technical training may be substituted for college education. Five to eight year's experience in a related field required; customer service experience and network infrastructure equipment required. Expected to have some experience and/or training with Linux and OpenSource solutions; experience in networking multiple operating systems preferred. Knowledge of troubleshooting techniques and monitoring of network infrastructure to resolve problems and develop solutions is necessary; knowledge of telephone system and related modes of operation and how to deploy desktop hardware and software is essential; knowledge of project and process management disciplines is requiredMust have a valid NH driver's license and have computer skills, be organized, productive and responsible; must be able to communicate effectively with people by phone, in writing or in person; must be able to interface effectively with internal departments and outside services vendor; must be flexible and able to handle varied work assignments and schedules; must have the ability to troubleshoot both equipment and network problems and implement solutions; must be physically able to lift, bend, and work on ladders to install network infrastructure equipment. Extensive travel throughout the Cooperative territory is required. Will require weekend and after hours work on occasion. Assistance with power restoration and computer experience is required. Ability to work in a team environment and excellent communication skills are essential.

Skills
Basic knowledge of Symantec BackupExec, MS Exchange, SNMP management & Terminal Services preferred. A strong knowledge of wireless, encryption, firewalls, and VPN technology is preferred. Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA) and Microsoft Certified IT Professional Server Administrator (MCITP) are preferred.
